=The Roving Restaurant Critic
LaPomme
Now and then one discovers a restaurant that seems to vibrate with originality. Such a one is LaPomme, a small but impressive establishment at the corner of 5th and Main. We dined at LaPomme last Tuesday and our palate was astonished. The chef, Jean-Claude Sautée, creates miracles of subtle flavor, using unexpected ingredients in combination. There’s a delectable cucumber and strawberry salad, for instance, and a devastating triple chocolate pie with coconut truffles. This chef has lots of imagination, and he knows how to use it.mmˇ$
